With respect to classification, these philosophical efforts are classified first according to their philosophical/civilizational heritage, second according to geographical regions, and thirdly according to major countries.
In the same way as we did in our current project "Philosophers of the Arabs", philosophical thought in these traditions is divided chronologically into modern and contemporary, and presented essentially through their most influential figures, in addition their basic ideas are introduced through different forms of discourse. Naturally, such an ambitious project will take long time before becoming a true representative of the traditions presented here. Reaching such a state will depend crucially on the degree of interaction of the scholars representing these traditions with the project.
Input, criticism, and discussions of this general method of presenting contemporary world philosophical efforts is welcomed from scholars interested in the project around the world.
